Hello! I'm Rebecca Pacella, and I'm so glad you're here!
Music has been one of my greatest joys of my life, and I believe every child deserves the opportunity to discover the same joy through singing. My goal is to create a choir where children feel welcomed, ebcouraged, challenged, and celebrated- a place where they can grow not only as musicians, but also as confident, compassionate members of their community.
I have been teaching elementary music for more than a decade, and currently serve as a music educator in the West-Windsor Plainsboro Regional School District. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Westminster Choir College of Rider University, as well as a Level III Kodály certificate and a Level II Orff certificate from William Paterson University. These approaches to music education emphasize a joyful, active music-making, and have shaped the way I teach children every day.
Throughout my career, I have had the priviledge of directing and conducting a variety of children and youth choirs and vocal ensembles, including serving as Associate Conductor with the Princeton Girlchoir, and as Vocal Music Director for the spring musicals at Arthur L. Johnson High School from 2014-2026. I have also served as President of Kodály New Jersey, where I enjoyed supporting music educators across our state through professional development and collaboration.
Since 2016, I have been honored to serve as Music Leader at Willow Grove Presbyterian Church. It has been a joy to make music alongside this congregation, and I am especially excited to expand that ministry by welcoming children and their families from throughout our community into the Willow Grove Children's Chorus.
Whether your child has been singing around the house for years or is joining a choir for the very first time, they are welcome here! My hope is that every rehearsal is filled with laughter, curiosity, beautiful music, and meangingful friendships. Together, we'll learn, grow, and discover the joy of singing-one song at a time!
I can't wait to make music with your family!
